This gown will be gifted to two-year-old, Charlotte, who was born at 31 weeks weighing 2 pounds. For 18 months she grew and developed typically. Charlotte caught a common cold in April 2023. It developed into pneumonia, which collapsed her little lungs. It further developed into ARDS, she only had a 50% chance of survival at that point.

She survived but now is trach/vent dependent. Since then she has been in and out of the hospital many times for colds and collapsed lungs. Earlier this year she was having issues regulating her blood sugars, and developed 2 brain bleeds.

It was found she has pancreatic insufficiency. She wasn’t absorbing key vitamins and minerals. Charlotte ended up with adenovirus that hospital stay. She coded because of a mucus plug. She was dead for 12 minutes. She has since been hospitalized again but has lived life in going on a couple trips one to Texas for physical therapy, and a family trip to southern Utah.
